Terms of service

These terms apply to purchases from https://amberden.com.au. The store is operated by Amberden Studio Pty Ltd, ABN 13 701 397 097, trading as Amberden, based in Melbourne, Victoria.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

Products and descriptions

Amberden sells homeware, currently table lamps. Some lamps are cordless and rechargeable. Others are mains-powered and corded. Corded lamps are supplied without a bulb.

Natural stone pieces vary in colour and veining from the piece photographed. This characteristic is described on each relevant product page before purchase. Described natural variation is not, by itself, a fault. Goods must still match their description, be of acceptable quality and be fit for purpose.

Prices and payment

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Any shipping charge and the total amount payable are shown at checkout before payment.

Payment is available by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay. Payments are processed through Shopify Payments at checkout.

Shipping

We deliver within Australia only, to any address Australia Post delivers to.

Orders are dispatched within one to two business days and travel with Australia Post. Amberden does not quote delivery times. Australia Post publishes its own delivery estimates.

Shipping options and charges are shown at checkout before payment. A free standard option applies to qualifying orders. Express shipping is available for a fee.

Shopify sends a shipping confirmation email when the order ships. Tracking is provided where the service includes it.

For delivery concerns or damage on arrival, email hello@amberden.com.au with your order number, if available. Goods damaged before delivery remain subject to the consumer guarantees and the remedies below.

Changes and cancellations

Before dispatch, you can change or cancel your order in full by emailing hello@amberden.com.au with your order number as soon as possible.

A cancelled order is refunded in full to the original payment method.

Change of mind and consumer guarantees

We do not accept change-of-mind returns. This does not affect your consumer guarantee rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Consumer guarantees apply automatically to every item. Goods must be of acceptable quality, match their description and be fit for purpose.

For a major failure, you can choose to return the goods for a refund or replacement, or keep them and receive compensation for the drop in value. You are also entitled to compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage caused by the failure.

For a minor failure, we will put it right by replacing the item or refunding the price within a reasonable time. If we do not, you can choose a refund or replacement instead. Your other Australian Consumer Law rights remain available.

To report a fault, email hello@amberden.com.au with your order number and a description of the problem. We assess every claim before deciding the remedy. To do that, we will ask for your order number, a description of the problem and clear photographs or a short video showing it. If we need to, we may ask to inspect the item; where that means sending it back, Amberden arranges and pays for the return. If you cannot provide photographs, tell us and we will agree another way to check the item with you. Original packaging is not required.

Amberden arranges and pays for any return needed for a valid claim. Refunds go to the original payment method.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability under the Australian Consumer Law.

Amberden remains responsible for the remedies and compensation required by law. Shipping arrangements and the additional lamp warranty do not restrict that responsibility.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and applicable Australian federal law. This does not limit any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
